Spencers Wood Community Survey

This survey is part of a research project commissioned by Shinfield Parish Council and delivered by Locality, the national membership network supporting local community organisations to be strong and successful. The research will consider what facilities will be required to meet the needs of the growing community in Spencers Wood.

The survey should take a maximum 10 minutes to complete. You can skip questions if you do not have an opinion, but we urge you to answer as many as possible.

Your responses will be used by Shinfield Parish Council and Locality for research purposes and will not be shared with anyone else.

Locality Community Conversations

Shinfield Parish Council has commissioned Locality, a specialist organisation that works with local communities to help neighbourhoods thrive, to look at community facilities currently available in Spencers Wood. The Parish Council has asked them to consider what facilities will be required to meet the needs of the growing community.

Initially, Locality will be contacting groups that use the existing facilities and seeking their opinions on what needs to be done in this area. They will also take into account the re-opening of the Ryeish Green Sports Centre by Wokingham Borough Council, planned for July this year.

A public consultation event is scheduled for Wednesday 23rd May at Caf’ Active in St Michael’s Church, Spencers Wood. Details of times will be confirmed nearer the event. In the meantime, if you are a member of a group that uses facilities in Spencers Wood, and your group is not contacted by the end of March, but would like to be involved, please let us know at the parish office.

A copy of the questionnaire being put to the groups can be seen here: website questionnaire Locality
