FREE JOB-SEEKERS SUPPORT CENTRE REOPENS
Wokingham Job Support Centre has relaunched following the temporary closure of its Cornerstone office due to the Covid-19 pandemic
18 SEPTEMBER 2020, WOKINGHAM
The Wokingham Job Support Centre (WJSC), a key, free community service for local job seekers, has reopened its town-centre headquarters at The Cornerstone, Norreys Avenue, Wokingham, following five months of remote working helping the area’s unemployed back into work.
WJSC Chairman Nigel Richards said: “We have been working hard to ensure we can safely re-open our Centre in Wokingham and I am delighted that we will be able to provide this important service to the community at a time when many people may have concerns about their employment.”
WJSC will now operate by appointment only, due to a need to restrict numbers in the Centre at any one time. To make an appointment or to speak to an advisor, telephone 0118 977 0517 or email email@example.com.
The organisation will operate in accordance with all current Covid-19 requirements and support from WJSC Advisors will continue to be offered over the phone or via internet platforms, such as Zoom, should job seekers still feel uncomfortable coming into the Centre.
WJSC offers a free blend of coaching, confidential advice, IT support, assistance with interviewing and CV writing techniques, and specific information on working for yourself, job searching online and utilising social media.
