Position of Deputy Clerk

Full time 37hrs PW (some evening meetings required)

Salary £28000 to £32,000

Shinfield Parish Council is looking for a resourceful and person orientated Deputy Clerk to join our parish team and assist in the day to day running of the Parish Council.

We are a progressive, ambitious, council engaging with our community of 12,000 and rising, to maintain and expand our services provided to the community. The Parish includes the villages and hamlets of Shinfield, Shinfield North, Grazeley, Ryeish Green, Spencers Wood and Three Mile Cross in Berkshire.

As Deputy Clerk you will assist the Clerk and RFO in the daily running of the activities of the Parish Council through making and implementing decision, working as part of a small team and engaging with residents. Ideally you will have experience of working in local government, or experience of similar administration and have or be looking to achieve the CiLCA qualification. This is a full-time position with evening work and occasional travel.
