Please be aware that Wokingham Borough Council as Highway Authority hereby gives notice under Section 14 (2) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that no vehicle shall proceed alongRyeish Lane, Ryeish Green between its junctions with Hyde End Lane and Shipridge Drive.
The alternative route for all traffic affected by the prohibition shall be by proceeding via Hyde End Lane, Church Lane, B3349 Basingstoke Road, B3349 Hyde End Road, Fullbrook Avenue and Hyde End Lane.
The reason for this prohibition is to enable Thames Water contractors to undertake urgent works to repair a burst water main in safety.
The restriction will come into effect on 3rd April 2024 and will continue for a period not exceeding 21 days. It is, however, anticipated that works requiring this restriction will be completed by 5th April 2024.
Access for residents and business users within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times.
The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
The dates of these restrictions may be subject to change.
