Shinfield Parish Allotment Information
Shinfield Parish Council owns and runs 9 established allotment sites of varying sizes within the Parish. The current annual rate of £34.50 for Parish residents has been set for 2025/2026 and is reviewed annually.
Non-Residents are able to hold an allotment, with the charge being double that of a member of the parish.
New Allotment Holder Deposit
In addition to the annual allotment rate (£34.50), all new allotment holders must pay a refundable deposit of £69.00 The deposit is returned if the plot is handed back cleared and tarped, same condition as when initially handed over. This policy aims to reduce costs from abandoned allotments for the Council and make the process fair and consistent for everyone.
This measure helps prevent abandoned allotments, which incur significant costs for the Council each year.
