Following on from our successful October production, work is well underway for our next production, which is our ever popular pantomime. Under the innovative direction of Maggie Uttley, we are delighted to bring our audiences, Cinderella by Peter Bond.
Here’s a little taster to whet your appetites.
Following an interview at the Job Centre both Twinkle and Buttons are successful in gaining employment at Hardup Hall, the home and workplace of Cinderella. Also resident at Hardup Hall is Cinderella’s father, the Baron, her unkind step-mother, the Baroness , her two scheming step-sisters (who are both addicted to Facebook) and two endearing mice.
The King and Prince Dashing live happily in the lavish Palace, however, there are rumblings and concerns over the succession to the throne. So, the King decides to hold a ball believing that once the Prince has danced with every eligible lady in the land, he will undoubtedly find a suitable wife. If only it were that easy. Prince Dashing’s life is run according to his Fitbit and he refuses to dance another dance after completing his ten thousand steps. Add to the mix scheming step-sisters, a manipulative step-mother, an inexperienced but enthusiastic Fairy Godmother, a chatty parrot and a Fitbit and it makes a happy ever after ending, seem highly unlikely.
