Cllr Laurence James

Now retired, he has held a number of senior financial roles in multi national companies and most recently as Finance Director of a national charity.

Laurence and his wife have lived in the Parish for 18 years. He has a great interest in all sports and current affairs, and is still an active golfer.

He enjoys a busy family life with his two children and five grandchildren, and plays an active role on local charities.

He firmly believes at this time of growth in the village it is most important that we do not lose our special character, that the village infrastructure responds to the growth and that the tax payers of Shinfield receive true value for money.
