A huge thank you to the wonderful band of Volunteers we had at the Parish Litter Pick on Sunday. We had 45 happy faces arrive at 10.00am to collect litter sticks, orange rubbish bags and high viz jackets. Off they went for a couple of hours and brought back a truck load of litter. Some also had time to enjoy pastries and drinks on their return, kindly provided by Shinfield View. We had lots of comments and many ideas for reducing litter in the Parish …so great that residents care enough to come forward. Suggestions such as more community litter picks, wacky litter bins, more education and getting businesses on board. We will be taking these to your elected members in due course.
