Please be aware that Wokingham Borough Council as Highway Authority hereby gives notice under Section 14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that no vehicle shall proceed along Kingsbridge Hill, Spencers Wood between its junctions with Lambs Lane and Barge Lane.
The alternative route for all traffic affected by the restriction shall be by proceeding via Barge Lane, B3349 Basingstoke Road, Beech Hill Road and Lambs Lane or by this route in reverse.
The reason for these prohibitions is to enable Wokingham Borough Council contractors to undertake Carriageway Repairs in safety.
Access to properties or businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained wherever possible.
The restrictions will come into effect on 26th June 2024 and will continue for a period not exceeding 5 days. It will only be in effect whilst the necessary traffic signs are lawfully displayed in the said roads. It is anticipated that works will be completed by 28th June 2024. . The restriction will only be in force between the hours of 8.00-16.00.
The restriction imposed by this notice shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
