Please be advised that Wokingham Borough Council, as the Highway Authority, is issuing a notice under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. No vehicles shall proceed along The Square, Spencers Wood, between its junctions with Basingstoke Road and Hyde End Road.
Alternative Route:
Basingstoke Road and Hyde End Road or by this route in reverse.
Reason for Closure:
This prohibition is necessary to enable contractors from BT to install duct in the carriageway and footway in safety.
Access:
Access to properties or businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained wherever possible.
Duration and Timings:
The restriction will commence on 19th August 2024 and continue for a period not exceeding 5 days. It will only be in effect while the required traffic signs are lawfully displayed. The works are expected to be completed by 23rd August 2024. The restriction will be enforced only between the hours of 8am – 6pm.
Compliance:
The restriction will apply only during periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
