Cllr Ian Montgomery

Moved to Reading in 1979 to work at NIRD, as analytical chemist/ biochemist. When NIRD closed, seconded to AFRC HQ in Swindon as Research Committee Secretary and then into PR and Exhibitions. Worked for Biomedical sales company and then as delivery driver for a plumbing company until retirement. Having spent nearly all of my working life as either a local or national officer for various Trade Unions, and now as Chairman of a pensioners group in Reading, I have carried on my interests in community and personal welfare concerns by joining the Parish Council in 2011.
