Planning Portal

Wokingham Borough Council Planning Portal

The Wokingham Borough Council Planning Portal is the council’s online system for managing and viewing planning-related information across the borough. It enables residents, developers, parish councils, and stakeholders to access planning services and track development proposals.

Key functions include:

Searching planning applications – users can find current and historic applications by address, postcode, application number, or keyword, and view associated plans and documents.

Commenting on applications – members of the public can submit support, objections, or observations on live applications during the consultation period.

Tracking application progress – users can monitor validation, consultation, decision status, and appeals.

Viewing weekly lists – lists of newly validated applications and recent decisions are published weekly.

Accessing planning guidance – information is provided on how to apply for planning permission, permitted development, enforcement, listed buildings, and conservation areas.

Planning enforcement and appeals – the portal supports reporting unauthorised development and viewing live planning appeals.

How it works:

Planning applications are submitted via the national Planning Portal, with Wokingham Borough Council acting as the local planning authority. [wokingham.gov.uk]

Once registered, applications appear on Wokingham’s online planning register (FastWeb), which serves as the public-facing portal for viewing and commenting.
