Independent Film Panel
Shinfield Cinema is a community facility provided by Shinfield Studios and operated by Shinfield Parish Council. It opened to the public in November 2024 following its official launch in October.
Showings
Following a trial of Friday screenings—children’s films at 4:30 pm and adult films at 7:30 pm—the schedule has been refined.

National Theatre Live screenings take place monthly on Fridays.

Relaxed screenings are offered quarterly.

Discounted tickets are available during school holidays.
Further programme developments are planned for 2026 via Reading University film Students.
Travel
Shinfield Cinema is located within the Ryeish Green Room at the School Green Centre, School Green, Shinfield, RG2 9EH
By Bus: Leopard 3 stops on Hollow Lane, by School Green.
By Car: follow signs for Shinfield and use RG2 9EH. Limited parking, so also use School Green Car Park (adjacent).
Food & Drink
Café will be providing snacks & refreshments soon…..
Whilst we also allow you to bring your own snacks and drinks, please be mindful of others, i.e. strong smelling or peanut allergies etc.

Capacity: 60 in tiered seating, plus 10 accessible.
Screenings: No ads or trailers, so please arrive 10 minutes prior to showing to get seated and ready for prompt start.
H&S: we do not supervise screenings, children under 16 are to be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Please let our Customer Care Team (on Reception) know of any issues or concerns.

Shinfield Cinema Grand Opening Celebrations 4th October 2024
Thank you so much Shinfield Parish Community for coming along to the Grand Opening of Shinfield Cinema, the Ghostbusters team from Southend on Sea for the amazing props, inflatable giant marshmallow man and bringing ecto-1 to see us, Berkshire Sound Hire for red carpet, lights & sound and to Shinfield Studios for making this community facility possible – we can’t wait to open to the public in November
