“Due to a high number of resident concerns over the lack of bus stops along Hyde End Road, Shinfield Parish Council (SPC) lobbied for additional bus stops to reduce the gap between existing stops with a view that this would improve use of the bus service and reduce car traffic in the area. SPC were informed of general intended locations for the new bus stops but the final placement was a matter for the bus company in conjunction with Wokingham Borough Council Highways Department.”
Shinfield Parish Council have negotiated two new sets of bus stops which will shortly be installed along Hyde End Road.
The first pair of stops will be adjacent to The Square (to be called The Square) while the second pair will be between Grovelands Road and Elizabeth Rout Close (“Grovelands Road”)
Coming soon, new bus shelters are being installed on Fullbrook Ave, they are currently on order, so are not yet installed. However, the stops are live.
