Opening Up the Countryside for All

Your Parish Council and the Ramblers Association work together continuously to improve access to the countryside for all to enjoy.
The latest shared venture has been to replace two stiles in Grazeley with kissing gates, installed by the Ramblers and funded by Shinfield Parish Council.
From the Before and After photographs of one of these gates it can be seen that they make an enormous difference and open up a path to all users, not only those that can climb stiles.
If we have tempted you to visit this new gate and explore the surrounding area don’t forget suitable footwear.
The outdoors is great for your wellbeing. It is a place for relaxation, peacefulness and activity but remember the Countryside Code.

- Follow local signs and keep to marked paths
- Always keep dogs under control and in sight
- Bag and bin dog poo – any public waste bin will do
- Always keep your dog on a lead or in sight, especially around livestock.
- Leave gates as you find them
- Take your litter home
- Leave no trace of your visit
