Keep Safe Campaign February 2026

‘Involve Community Services’ and Wokingham’s Community Safety Partnership are hosting Wokingham Borough’s second KEEP SAFE CAMPAIGN to be held throughout February 2026.

This campaign is dedicated to promoting safety for all our residents. A launch webinar on 2 February will introduce a series of free virtual learning sessions for people of all ages focusing on online safety and understanding how this can impact on keeping safe in the physical world as well as two in-person sessions.

  • Event: Wokingham Borough’s year two KEEP SAFE CAMPAIGN in February 2026
  • Launch: Webinar on 2 February at 4.15pm
  • Purpose: Promote safety for all residents, both online and in the physical world
  • Audience: People of all ages, with tailored events for parents, carers, and practitioners
  • Topics covered:
  • Online safety including Young People and Digital Harms
  • Helping our children stay safe Understanding knife crime from the perspective of young people  and the signs and stages of child exploitation
  • Artificial Intelligence and young people
  • Technology-facilitated abuse in later life
  • Gaming and gambling awareness including sessions on specific games, Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite
  • Two in-person sessions:

              Virtual Choices – sessions for young people using virtual reality

              On-line safety for people with learning disabilities at CLASP

  • Working in partnership: Voluntary groups, local government and key partners sharing resources
  • Delivery partners:) Ben Kinsella Trust, Ygam, NSPCC, Tellmi, Deflect and Protect, HourGlass, SEROCU
