The next Repair Café at Lambs Lane Primary School, Spencers Wood, is on Sunday 15th September 10am to 1pm.
Billie, who runs the café, said ‘We had a great two days at the Swallowfield Show. Young visitors made and 5* bug hotels older visitors enjoyed building their own birdboxes.
We have given twenty percent of the proceedings to the Swallowfield Show for the charities that they support. The rest of the money will be used to help the Repair Café at Lambs Lane continue with running free build your own birdbox workshops for schools, guides, brownies, scouts and brownies.
A very big Thank You to all the volunteers who helped over the two days and our visitors and their interest in what we do and offers of help in supplying wood and services.
We have made 320 birdboxes to date, 35 5* bug hotels (with excellent reviews!), 5 squirrel picnic tables, 5 birdfeeders, and nearly sold the beautiful wooden bowls made by Clive one of our volunteers’.
