On the 17th October 2020 the Shinfiled Parish Council officially opened the new Pavilion at Spencers Wood Recreation Ground in a small ceremony observing the strictest of COVID guidelines.
The Chappel Lane Pre-School is located in the right hand side of the pavillion in a separate unit accessed through their own dedicated door. The new pre school is larger and the children have access into a larger secure play area. The Shinfield Parish Council wish the pre-school continued success in their new larger seperated space.
Once all COVID required policies are in place the left hand side of the Pavilion will open to the public where they will find a larger than previous multifuctional space that can operate as two separate rooms or as one large function room. In addition there is one smaller meeting room for cosier meetings. All three can be hired by local groups and organisations and we will respect the historical hirers first such as the Shinfield Voluntary Car Service and History Societies. The offices are serviced by one disabled WC and two other WCs and a fully equipped kitchen. The Spencers Wood Pavilion Youth Club is looking to start up its Wednesday evening sessions too.
The Shinfiled Parish Council is delighted to provide this asset to the people of Spencers Wood and the Parish and hope it is well used for years to come.
