Shinfield Parish Cllr Edward Brown visited SHARE, mobile food bank, yesterday at the Shinfield Baptist Church 12.30-2pm.
SHARE offer a free of charge range of fresh produce including bread, vegetables, and some frozen food to struggling local families. Today, shoppers came on behalf of about 40 families living in Shinfield, Spencers Wood, Arborfield and a few from further afield. A limited delivery service is available to families without transport and too far away to walk. Collectively, yesterdays shoppers represented about 180 adults and children.
While there, visitors were also able to enjoy free tea, coffee and cakes and spend time socialising.
Just pop along, no referral needed.
