re3, a waste partnership of Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Boroughs as well as FCC Environment is excited to announce the relaunch of our initiative: re3Grow Compost: Community Scheme, aimed at promoting local sustainable projects and raising recycling awareness.
Since the introduction of the scheme in 2022, over 4,000 bags of re3Grow compost have been donated to more than 200 community organisations and schools across the local area. This has delivered over £30,000 in social value, supporting various projects and strengthening community bonds.
As part of the Community Scheme, we are offering local schools and organisations the opportunity to receive free compost, provided they can demonstrate that the compost will bring local benefits (such as supporting learning and education, enhancing the appearance of the local area, or aiding in community food production). Additionally, recipients will help communicate the key principles that re3Grow compost, including the benefits of recycling and using recycled products.
