You may have noticed new fencing being installed at Deardon Community Orchard.
Phase 1 :The fence is part of our wider restoration plans for the orchard and will help protect the new native hedge while it establishes, giving it the best chance to grow and create valuable shelter and habitat.
Phase 2: The wider project aims to improve conditions for the fruit trees, encourage wildlife and biodiversity, introduce areas of longer grass and wildflowers, and make the orchard an even better community space for the future.
Please visit with care while this work is underway and help us give the new planting time to flourish.
