The Shinfield Volunteer Group attached a plaque to a kissing gate in Spencers Wood on Saturday 1st July 2023 in memory of the late Cllr Edward (Eddie) Brown.
It reads;
‘In loving Memory of Edward Brown 1939-2023 Parish Councillor, rambler, father and friend’.
Our Chairman, Cllr Andrew Grimes was in attendance on behalf of Shinfield Parish Council.
Eddie was heavily involved in keeping our Parish footpaths and gates accessible for all to enjoy, he helped create several footpath maps which are available to download here
Eddie is very much missed at the Parish Council and by everyone that knew him.
